Delete your account
Effective June 14, 2026 · Version 1.0
You can delete your BidBook account and request deletion of your personal data at any time. This page explains how, what gets deleted, and what we're required to keep.
How to delete your account
- In the app: open Settings → Delete account, confirm, and we'll begin deletion. (If you don't see this control, your app may be updating — use the email method below in the meantime.)
- By email: write to business@swissmasonry.org from your account email with the subject "Delete my account." We verify it's really you, then process the request.
We action verified deletion requests within 30 days and email you when it's done.
What gets deleted
- Your account login and profile (name, email, phone, business profile).
- Your customer and job data (clients, job addresses, estimates, line items, notes).
- Job-site photos you uploaded.
- Draft and unsent documents.
What we keep, and why
Some records can't be deleted on request because the law requires us (or your own dispute-defense requires you) to keep them:
- Signed contracts, signature data, and e-signature audit certificates — retained as legal records (typically at least 7 years).
- Invoices, payment records, and tax records — retained as long as the law requires (typically about 7 years).
Where we keep these, we limit them to what's legally necessary and delete the rest. Payment card and bank numbers are never stored by BidBook (they go directly to Stripe). See the Privacy Policy for full detail.
Your customers' data
If you're a homeowner or a contractor's customer and a contractor entered data about you in BidBook, that contractor controls it. Ask the contractor first; email business@swissmasonry.org and we'll support their response.
